Relying on its adherents’ initiatives, L’AMAP promotes at a national and international level, all kinds of activities such as meetings and cooperation beyond the difference of cultures and identities.
1. Access to libraries for all
Following the example of what CIVD did in Akoumapé (Togo), L’AMAP aims to help and promote the creation of village or community libraries and mobile libraries, developing around the pleasure of reading.
2. Education
The project-based learning dispositif (« DPP :i/i ») gives the opportunity to become author-actor of collective projects with an impact on reality. Thanks to this dynamic of social transformation, it becomes easier for anyone to act in the environment, and therefore to reach a deeper mastery of the institutional and social contexts and of the language and cultural codes.
Projects workshops and project-based teacher education sessions are taking place at Saint-Denis (Paris 8 University). Project-based education plans have been organized in the USA, Chile, Algeria, Switzerland and Haiti, aimed at primary and secondary school teachers, social workers and educational counsellors.
Annie Couëdel, Nacer Aït Ouali and Fanela Célestin are the coordinators for these programs in L’AMAP.
3. Interculturality
The aim of L’AMAP is to sustain various intercultural activities in the field of art (cinema, photos, concerts, exhibitions ..), education and social areas.
« LAMAP is an international, pluralist, non-governmental, cultural, apolitical, and non-profit-making organisation which offers opportunities of intercultural experiments with the active collaboration of volunteers through activities allowing young people and adults of different parts or countries in the world to develop the knowledge, human qualities and necessary understanding for a more diversified, equitable, tolerant, peaceful and friendly world.. »
